GCT initiates a phase II clinical trial in patients with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in Ukraine

A multi-center phase-II study is currently ongoing in 5 countries.  Last week GCT was awarded a contract to expand the study and include 2 additional sites in Ukraine.

At the moment our Ukrainian office has already submitted study documents to Regulatory Authority.

Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body’s immune system. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma can occur at any age and are often marked by enlarged lymph nodes, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. Lymph tissue is found in many places throughout the body, so lymphoma can start almost anywhere. All non-Hodgkin lymphomas can spread to other parts of the lymph system if not treated. Eventually, they can also spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver, brain, or bone marrow.

According to National Cancer Registry of Ukraine, the Prevalence of Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2016 is 13 690 patients; rate – 37.9 patients per 100 thousand population (males – 35.1; females – 40.3).

The services provided by GCT include, but are not limited to the submission to Regulatory Authorities and Local Ethics Committees, clinical Monitoring, purchase and logistics of the therapy and reference product.
