Blood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). This is a wonderful opportunity to support people fighting leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other types of blood cancer.

Blood cancer occurs when the normal blood cell development process is interrupted by uncontrolled growth of an abnormal type of blood cell. These abnormal blood cells prevent blood from performing many of its functions, like fighting off infections or preventing serious bleeding.

As over 900,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with various types of blood cancer annually, it is crucial to share support and spread awareness of this group of diseases.
