September is World Alzheimer’s Month. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia.

Some of the symptoms of this brain disease include:

  • slowed thinking
  • occasional or persistent memory problems
  • disorientation
  • unexpected mood and behavior changes
  • confusion about events, time and place
  • difficulty speaking, swallowing and walking

Both GCT President, Dr. Jeffrey Apter and CEO, Dr. Eugene Selivra are trained psychiatrists with 50+ years of combined experience in clinical research. Dr. Apter is a KOL in Alzheimer’s Disease. For more than 19 years GCT has been focusing on conducting trials in CNS and Neurology, including the Alzheimer’s Disease indication.

Patients with Alzheimer’s disease may find it hard to recognize the problem. Nevertheless, we can assist through raising awareness.
